Description

I am confused about the mainboard temperture of my Asus A7M 266D.

It shows 49 degrees Celsius

This is very high in comperision with my other boards

Asus A7V will become unstable at 40 degrees

Asus A7V266,A7V266,E seems to work even at 42 degrees,

but 49 degrees and even more?

The bios reports the same temperature! Does anybody knows whats the critical

temperature will be?

Is the temperature the real cpu temperature? I have seen 70 degrees and more,

with Athlom 1800MP.

I think if this is the die temperature, this will be o.k., but if not its

critical I think. --- 49 isn't high.

The max case temp. of a P4, for example, is about 70.

Max die temps are much higher.

Your real question is, where is the temperature being measured?

For that you will have to ask Asus.

We generally don't have information on specific boards.

Every board is different, you shouldn't assume any particular

temperature threshold for stability.
