Description
Problem in detail:
I get the same problem as described in ticket #359. I have tried compiling
as kernel patch or separate module. Does this happen to SMP only????

Ticket 359 was never resolved and I don't have any
record of any followup.
I've asked our group for ideas.

I can't find the symbol best_copy_to_user in the kernel tree. Are you sure you
are running a vanilla kernel without any additional patches? If you did get your
kernel from a distribution CD, you can be almost sure it is not vanilla. As we
can't support patched kernels (sorry, it is just too much work), you are on your
own unless you get a 'normal' kernel.
Good luck,
Frodo

Hi, Frodo:
I just received a notice that the ticket has been updated.
After looking at the ticket, I realized that I have forgoten
the existen of this ticket.
What I found was that I was indeed using a patcked kernel.
After replacing it with a fresh vanilla kernel, the lmsensor works
perfecctly. In fact, I tried the lmsensor with vanilla kernel on
both of my SMP machines, no problem at all!
Sorry about the trouble!!
Thanks for your support,
Barku
