658,Dallas 1621 config (Examined/Solved - lm_sensors 2.6.0 Linux 2.4.4),contact,somebody,"I have an Intel system board with a Dallas 1621. This is detected cleanly

and all modules will load. The hardware is init'd mighty fine.

The problem is that the sample config /etc/sensors.conf is blind to this

chip, the driver of which is marked as beta. So I have /proc/bus OK, but

no /proc/bus/chips exists.

A couple of quick pointers re:the 1621 and /etc/sensors.conf would be

great.

---
/etc/sensors.conf has nothing to do with /proc.

Your chip should be listed in /proc/sys/dev/sensors/chips

and there should be a whole ds1621 directory under /proc/sys/dev/sensors.

Also, 'sensors' should work fine, it has support for the 1621.

/etc/sensors.conf only allows you to set min/max values

with 'sensors -s' and change the labels that 'sensors' prints.

There is ample documentation in the top of

etc/sensors.conf.eg if you want to add a ds1621 section.

If you need more help email sensors@stimpy.netroedge.com and

reference your ticket number.
