"Motherboard/Configuration database" ? (Examined/Solved - 2.5.1, 2.2.12-20)

Description

Is there a database where one could get a config file of lm-sensors for a

specific mainboard?

The detection of the chip is not generally enough to have all the parameters

adjusted, but i think that most motherboards which are the same model have the

same chipset and hard-wiring, etc.

So couldn't it be a good idea to keep a sensors.conf files database, or such?

Eg: I got QDI Legend "BrillianX-1S", which has a lm80, lm-sensors works fine!

but i had to adjust the config file, because my VTT is 1.5, and my Vcore is 2.

Could those values anyway be obtained through the vid lines?

Thanks in advance for your support. --- Our stance on mainboard specifics has always been: if anyone wants to implement

it, they have our blessings, but we simply don't have the time for it. As far as

I know, nobody has done any serious effort towards it.

The LM80 does not have VID lines, so we can't detect the VCore voltage through

it. And, as you may have seen in many other tickets, even chips that do have the

VID lines often get it wrong (either because the chip only has four lines where

five are needed, or because they are simply not connected); if they seem halfway

sensible, we try to use them, but sensors.conf can be very needed.
