Hello... i'm a newbie but i would like to monitor my cpu temp, fan, voltage on my kubuntu 8.4beta cause there's a big fan noise (i've any fan noise under XP)... after a lot of google and forums i've installed lm-sensors (using apt-get). then i runned:

it seems there's any temp, fan or voltage sensors :( i don't understand where i'm wrong can anyone help me? thank you

These results are expected for a laptop: most laptops do not have a hardware monitoring chip lm-sensors can use directly. Instead, thermal management is handled by ACPI. If you have problems with your fan, I suggest that you try loading either the asus_acpi driver or the asus-laptop driver (not sure why there are two drivers for this.) If this doesn't help then you would report to the ACPI people.
