Description

I have previously compiled i2c v2.10.2 and lmsensors 2.10.4 on my Centos 3.x with kernel 2.4.21-47.EL, it is running fine.

Recently, i upgraded the kernel to 2.4.21-50.EL, after reboot, sensors give me an error, say something like can't access sysfs, kernel interface access error.

Is there anything need to be done to make sensors run on 2.4.21-50.EL??

both my 2.4.21-47 & 2.4.21-50 are stock kernel, updated by yum from centos mirrors.

Thank you.

When using a 2.4 kernel, i2c and lm-sensors don't only give you user-space tools, they also give you drivers (kernel modules) for your current kernel. Thus, whenever you install a new kernel, you need to rebuild i2c and lm-sensors for that kernel.
