Do I need smbus-arp if sensors seem to read ok?

Description
I have lm_sensors 2.10.0 working well on a Tyan 2665 motherboard. When I run sensors-detect, I get a warning that smbus-arp is not available (and sure enough I can't find it on my system).
My sensor data appears ok (nothing missing that I can tell). I am running Fedora Core 5 ver 2.6.17. Do I need smbus-arp? Why is it complaining? Do I need to copy the smbus-arp.c file into the kernel source tree and recompile?
Thanks
