Hi,

I found an ITE IT8716F-S chip on my brand new Abit M2N-E, but it seems that the IT87xx driver does not support this one.
I can load the module, but don't get any devices in /sys/bus/i2c/devices/... and there are no dmesg messages when loading the module.
So do you think supporting this chip is possible? Sadly I am not a coder, but maybe I could do some testing for you if you would try to make this one work :)
My Kernel is a 2.6.17, so the i2c code should be quite up2date.

Support for the IT8716F is available as a patch:

This patch has been pushed upstream already, so it's only a matter of time before it reaches -mm and then 2.6.19

User-space support is already available in lm_sensors SVN.
