Description

Hi, I just installed lm_sensors on my computer, which has an Asus P3B-F motherboard and a 500 Mhz Pentium III processor. With the BIOS i am able to read the temperature of the motherboard and the cpu. i have the following modules loaded: w83781d 4 0 sensors 2 [w83781d] 0 i2c-dev 1 0 i2c-piix4 1 0 i2c-core 3 [w83781d sensors i2c-dev i2c-piix4] 0 and the monitoring chip is recognised as an Asus AS99127F. A typical sensors readout looks like as99127f-i2c-0-2d Adapter: SMBus PIIX4 adapter at e800 Algorithm: Non-I2C SMBus adapter VCore 1: +2.03 V (min = +1.80 V, max = +2.20 V) (beep) VCore 2: +2.48 V (min = +1.80 V, max = +2.20 V) ALARM (beep) +3.3V: +3.47 V (min = +2.97 V, max = +3.63 V) (beep) +5V: +4.97 V (min = +4.50 V, max = +5.48 V) (beep) +12V: +11.40 V (min = +10.79 V, max = +13.11 V) (beep) -12V: -10.88 V (min = -1.15 V, max = -2.71 V) ALARM (beep) -5V: -5.03 V (min = -1.05 V, max = -1.54 V) ALARM (beep) V5SB: +0.00 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) VBat: +0.00 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +0.00 V) fan1: 7417 RPM (min = 3000 RPM, div = 2) (beep) fan2: 0 RPM (min = 187 RPM, div = 32) ALARM (beep) fan3: 0 RPM (min = 3000 RPM, div = 2) ALARM (beep) temp1: +28 C (limit = +60 C, hysteresis = +50 C, sensor = thermistor) (beep) temp2: +0.0 C (limit = +0.0 C, hysteresis = +0.0 C, sensor = thermistor) (beep) temp3: +0.0 C (limit = +0.0 C, hysteresis = +0.0 C, sensor = PII/Celeron diode) (beep) vid: +2.00 V alarms: Chassis intrusion detection ALARM (beep) beep_enable:

Sound alarm enabled

(i hope you dont mind putting me this in unshortened) As you see, some limits for voltages are wrong, leading to false alarms, the fan1 is irregularly wrong (4500RPM is the right value), temp1 seems to be right if it is the motherboard's temperature but cpu temperature is missing. As i am very interested in getting the cpu temperature (about 95-102 C were displayed by the bios, which seemed quite high as far as i know), i would be very glad, if you could make this feature work. yours sincerely Jrgen Bhm

--- The AS91127F support is still beta, and there are some known problems with it. I will forward your ticket to the maintainer of it. Thanks,
