Description
I've read through the FAQ and docs about the various odd results that can occur,
and I don't think mine fall into any of those that were mentioned. I'm not sure
if the "alarms" I'm getting are potentially harmful or not, so I'd like to get
some input. If they're normal or a product of bad specs, then that's fine as
long as I know.
I have questions about readings on TWO machines:
MACHINE 1
Chip: via686a-isa-6000
Readings:
CPU core: +1.66 V (min = +1.79 V, max = +2.18 V) ALARM
This voltage is _below_ the min... which is probably better than above the max,
but it still worries me.
MACHINE 2
chip: w83781d-isa-0290
Readings:
in0: +1.50 V (min = +4.08 V, max = +4.08 V) ALARM
in1: +2.03 V (min = +4.08 V, max = +4.08 V) ALARM
These two are WWAAYY below what they should be. But then again the min/max are
the same and thus could be wrong. Anything to worry about.
Thanks,
Phil

#1 your limits are probably wrong. set the limits in sensors.conf.
#2 how do you know these are too low? Did you put a voltmeter on
the sensor pins? set the limits correctly in sensors.conf and run sensors -s.
I wouldn't worry about any of it until you are certain you have the
calculations and limits correct.
